While a resident at HomeRise, Orlon found our Community Organizing & Resident Engagement (CORE) program to help advocate for his community. His passion for community organizing led him on a path forward. In 2014 he graduated from Urban Habitat’s Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute and has sat on our Board of Directors. Orlon spoke with us one sunny afternoon to explain CORE in his own words.
