“Salvation Army’s Kroc Centers form a network of state-of-the-art facilities sharing a common goal: providing children and families with opportunities to discover and develop their passions and talents within their own neighborhood.”
Rather than just handing out school supplies The Salvation Army creates a fun carnival atmosphere where each school age child gets a free backpack and participates in games with school supplies as “prizes.” Additionally, parents/guardians come to have fun, enjoy snacks and build community.
