HomeRise is contracted with the city of San Francisco to provide support services to the residents of the William Penn. The William Penn has residents who have been living there since the early 1990s. The William Penn houses residents with a subsidy through the Department of Public Health’s Direct Access to Housing program for chronic inebriates. HomeRise’s support services utilize our Case Management Model which strategically provides individualized services to residents in an effort to increase resident self-sufficiency.

The community room is open during resident services office hours and offers residents a television and pool table. The lobby is furnished with a library, couches for socializing with neighbors, and lots of plants.
