After an intensive search, we are thrilled to announce our new Chief People Officer, Andrew B. Stroud, Jr., SPHR officially started as CPO of Community Housing Partnership on July 1, 2020.
“I am passionate about building organizational cultures that embrace the tenets of diversity and inclusion. Community Housing Partnership is a complex organization with a noble mission that makes the world a better place.” – Andrew Stroud
Andrew comes to Community Housing Partnership with over 25 years of experience as a senior HR executive of a number of Fortune 500 corporations including Aramark, Kansas City Power & Light, Pizza Hut and Frito Lay. He also brings extensive experience fostering diverse, equitable and inclusive work environments.
A seasoned leader, Andrew is a graduate of West Point, and is also a former Army Captain. No stranger to “giving back” to his community, he has a long tenure on the board of the Urban League of St. Louis and Greater Kansas City which focus on empowering African Americans and others in securing economic self-reliance, social equality and civil rights.
As an HR professional, Andrew holds a strong belief in the power of human capital: “As a leader, I believe it is my responsibility to ‘grow’ people by understanding their goals in life and then helping them execute a development plan to meet their goals. I have a track record of identifying talent and mentoring professionals to ‘be all they can be.’”
Andrew brings a strong background in implementing leading edge recruitment, retention, organizational development, employee engagement, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. One of his proudest moments included his “Bias Based Policing” training for over 800 people with the St. Louis County Police Department. This course looked at the elements of unconscious bias and the history of race relations in the United States that created the trust issues that exist with the African American community and police.
Suffice to say, the entire staff at Community Housing Partnership is thrilled to have Andrew on board! Welcome.
