Ramie Dare

Ramie Dare has over 30 years of experience in affordable housing, community development, and nonprofit governance in the Bay Area. She is the Bay Area Regional Director of Real Estate for Mercy Housing and served on the board of Community Housing Partnership (HomeRise) from 2004 to 2017, including four years as Board President. She holds a BA from UCLA and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard.

Devra Edelman

Devra Edelman is a seasoned nonprofit leader with expertise in homelessness, workforce development, and food security, having spent 19 years with Hamilton Families and HomeBase. She joined the HomeRise Board in 2016 through 2024 and served on the Governance Committee throughout her tenure. Devra holds an MA in International Development and a Master of Social Work.

Mark Eshman

Mark Eshman is Chairman and Managing Member of ClearRock Capital. He served on the HomeRise Board from 2018 until 2021. Mark has held senior positions at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Dabney/Resnick/Wagner, and Smith Barney. He has also served on various nonprofit and political boards, including as chair of the Community School in Sun Valley, Idaho, and the Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency.

David Elliot Lewis

David Elliot Lewis is a former resident of a HomeRise property who served on the Board from 2010 to 2024. Trained as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, he has worked as a consultant, software developer, and university lecturer. In addition to his professional work, David is an active political writer and community advocate.

Gregg Miller

Gregg Miller has over 25 years of experience as a real estate and land use attorney and is a partner at Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP. He served on the HomeRise Board from 2012 to 2024, including seven years as President and two as Vice President, and provided extensive pro bono legal services for affordable housing projects in San Francisco. After concluding his board service in 2024, Gregg returned in a consulting capacity as a member of the Board of Directors Development Committee. He holds a BA from Yale and a JD from the University of San Francisco.
